Shopping Around For A New
Designer Radiator?

Don't Get Caught Out By Delta Ratings!

In the world of designer radiators, not everything is as sleek as it seems. A growing number of retailers are quietly overstating radiator performance by quoting inflated BTU outputs, often measured at unrealistic Delta T values. This clever misdirection can make a radiator appear more powerful (and cheaper) than it truly is.

But here's the catch: unless the radiator follows BS-EN442 standards and is tested at Delta T 50, the numbers you're seeing are simply smoke and mirrors.

Before you buy, make sure your radiator’s performance has been measured honestly, certified correctly, and priced transparently. If it’s not up to standard, it won’t keep you warm. no matter how stylish it looks.

What Are The BS EN 442 Regulations?

The BS EN 442 Regulations are there to protect our customers from incorrect heat outputs.

What Does This Mean?

This means that all of our radiators are tested to both Delta T 50 and Delta T 30 which are realistic settings for radaitors and air source heat pumps in the UK.

Don't Know What BTU You Need?

Just use our handy BTU calculator and get started by filling in a few details about your space and we'll calculate your target heat output.

The Finishing Touches

Valves & Accessories

Choosing The Right Radiator Valve

Choosing the right radiator valves is key to both the performance and look of your designer radiator. Valves connect your radiator to your central heating and let you control the heat, so it’s important to pick the right type based on your pipework setup and whether you prefer manual or thermostatic control. With a wide range of finishes and styles available, the right valve can also enhance the overall look of your radiator and room.

Manual Or Thermostatic Radiator Valves?

Are You Questioning:

In the UK, it’s now a legal requirement under Part L of the Building Regulations to fit thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) on radiators when installing a new boiler or replacing an old one, unless the room already has a wall-mounted thermostat. TRVs control the temperature of each room, improving comfort and energy efficiency, whereas manual radiator valves can only be turned on and off and offer no automatic control.

Radiator Valve Frequently Asked Questions

What Are Thermostatic Radiator Valves?

Thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) are a smart way to get more control over your home's heating. By automatically adjusting the hot water flow to each radiator, a TRV allows you to set the perfect temperature for any room. This means you can keep your living room warm and cosy while using less energy in a guest room. It's the key to creating personalised heating zones throughout your space, all powered by your existing boiler. Explore our range of designs, from modern angled valves to traditional styles, to find the right fit for your radiators.

What Do Radiator Valves Do?

Radiator valves regulate the temperature of a radiator. A pair of valves is required for each radiator; one is a control valve, which alters the flow of water into the radiator to change its temperature. The other is a lockshield valve, which is used to balance the flow of water leaving the radiator, optimising the efficiency of your central heating system.
